Florida Winter Tour: Official Practice Day 1

After travelling about 30 hours to my destination, the Palm Beach International Race Circuit, I have finally arrived and completed day 1 of official practice.

Uppon arriving at the race track my Brother/ Mechanic and I were instantly impressed with all the team setups seen in the pits. From 50ft trailers to semi trailer trucks every team was well represented and my expectations were well exceeded. With over 500 entries through out the various classes this is without a doubt one massive and highly professional race meeting.

I hit the track this morning in the first session of official practice and was able to put down some very fast lap times. I was very pleased and it was a good way to start practice. The rest of the day was a little up and down due to changing track conditions and temperatures. Luckily I was able to finish the day in final practice on a good note with some good times.

Tomorrow I have two more practice sessions before qualifying commences. Hopefully things go to plan and I can qualify well which will put me in a good position for when racing begins.

Wish me luck!

James.
